DTY & HEALING ARTS | SCHOOL OF MASSAGE THERAPY
Downtown Yoga & Healing Arts has developed an accredited 530-hour in-class supervised Massage Therapy Program to embrace the entire system of the therapeutic arts. Our students are trained and exposed to a wide spectrum of Healing Arts that embody the principles of Natural Therapeutics. Our mission is to create caring, ethical, balanced massage therapists who understand the interconnected nature of the mind, body, and spirit.
We designed our program with the highest standards of integrity, ensuring a curriculum that effectively combines modern-western and traditional-eastern philosophies and techniques. Our students will gain a comprehensive understanding of massage theory and practice, therapeutic and holistic massage techniques, ethics and boundaries, client assessments, clinical documentation, and essential business skills to run a successful practice. We place a significant emphasis on hands-on clinical experience, understanding that the art of “doing” is what inspires confidence and skill. As an accredited Massage Therapy Program, there are no additional costs for you to pass your board exam. Once you have completed the entire program curriculum, you can apply for your license. DTY provides all the necessary materials including textbooks, a massage table, and a starter kit that has sample oils, lotions, and linens. Also included in your tuition is Reiki Level 1 Certification and American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
