Currently based at Downtown Yoga & Healing Arts, Riley is also immersed in yoga teacher training, aligning their work with holistic wellness and self-empowerment.

□ What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup (also called micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing) is a technique where pigment is deposited into the skin to enhance features like eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. It’s ideal for those wanting long-lasting definition without daily application.

□ How long does it last?
Results typically last 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. A touch-up session is often recommended around 6–8 weeks after the initial appointment to perfect the shape and color.

□ Does it hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate discomfort. A topical numbing agent is used before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable.

□ What’s the healing process like?
You can expect mild redness, swelling, and scabbing in the first few days. Full healing usually takes 7–14 days, with color settling in over 4–6 weeks. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to support the best results.

□ Will my brows/lips/liner look too dark?
It’s normal for the pigment to appear darker right after your session. Color will soften by 30–50% during the healing process, revealing a more natural look.

□ How do I prepare for my appointment?
• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners 24 hours before
• No retinol or exfoliating acids on the area for 5–7 days
• Come with a clean face—no makeup on the area being treated

□ Who is not a good candidate for PMU?
Permanent makeup may not be recommended if you:
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have active skin conditions in the treatment area
• Are on blood thinners or certain medications
• Have certain autoimmune conditions (consult your doctor)

□ Can I still wear makeup?
Yes! PMU enhances your natural features but doesn’t prevent you from wearing additional makeup if you choose. Just avoid applying makeup to the treated area during the healing phase.
