Cancellation Policies
All cancellations must be done online using the same account you used to register for the class/appointment. The MindBody system keeps automated time schedules of early/late cancellations according to the class/appointment you are cancelling. You will receive an automated cancellation confirmation that will state date/time of your cancellation and whether it was within the allowed no fee cancellation window.

Yoga Classes
"Early" Cancellations, two hours or more prior to the start of the class, will receive a class credit for the class to use toward a future yoga class. "Late" Cancellations within the two hour window prior to class are forfeited and not credited for future use. The MindBody software notes the time of cancellation.
Aerial Yoga Classes
AERIAL YOGA CANCELLATION POLICY REQUIRES YOU TO CANCEL ONLINE WITH AT LEAST 48 HOURS NOTICE as stated in the class description, your purchase receipt/confirmation, and our policies notice. The MindBody system will allow you to cancel up to 48 hours before your scheduled class. After the 48 hour window is closed, you forfeit your payment for that class. Because we have a limited number of aerial silks, we strictly follow this policy! Otherwise, we have cancellations that we don't have enough notice to fill from wait list and have empty spots! Thank you for understanding and following this policy!
Workshops/Series
Clients cancelling a workshop or "non-regular" yoga class event, may cancel up to 72 hours prior to the event and receive full refund. Cancellations after 72 hours will not receive a credit or refund for the late cancellation. You will receive an automatic email confirmation when you cancel.
Student Massages
REQUIRE 24-HOUR CANCELLATION NOTICE FROM TIME OF MASSAGE/DAY. If 24-hour notice is not given the massage fee is forfeited and can not be refunded or rescheduled using that fee. Student Massages canceled within 24 hours will be credited as a credit on your account for a future student massage clinic.

STUDIO POLICIES
DTY accepts cash, local check, and all major credit cards. Returned checks will be subject to a $25 processing fee in addition to original amount.
DTY does not guarantee schedules and reserves the right to change, cancel, or alter class schedules, workshops, or retreats. We do our best to immediately inform students of any changes. Please check the online schedule for up-to-date class cancellations or studio closures.
Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. They are valid for one student only and may not be shared. Memberships may not be put on hold, "frozen", or extended for any reason. Please take note of the expiration date on each pass and plan accordingly. In case of injury or pregnancy, students may submit a letter from a physician and receive an extension on a case-by-case basis.
Discounts may only be redeemed at time of purchase and may not be retroactively discounted. Only one discount may be applied at one time per person.
ALL Membership & Class Purchase Policy:ALL classes and memberships are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be shared.
Class passes have a 3-month expiration date. Please take note of the expiration date of your membership or passes, students assume responsibility for their pass validity.
Multi class passes may only be extended for medical reasons only and must be approved by DTY Management. It is the student’s responsibility to notify the studio in writing via email at [email protected] at time of illness/injury. A physician’s letter is required outlining the extension period before any adjustment to the pass is made.
Gift cards may be redeemed at any time for class passes or merchandise. ALL Gift Cards are non-refundable/Non-transferable.
Lost or stolen gift cards are at the onus of the student and will not be honored by DTY.
ALL workshops and special events are non-refundable but are transferable with prior notification of at least 1 day before the event.
The schedule is subject to change or cancellations may occur without notice. Please check the online schedule for up-to-date class cancellations or studio closures.
Class and membership fees may occasionally increase each year due to the cost of living. It is our intention to keep our pricing reasonable.
WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS
No refunds, transfers, or credits for cancellations within 72 Hours of a workshops or failure to attend for any reason.
For cancellations prior 72 Hours before workshop, students will receive a refund less a cancellation fee, to be determined per workshop.
Student Massage PolicyStudent Massages are performed by students in training, not licensed massage therapists.
If your Student Massage cancellation was received 48 hours prior to your massage schedule time, you will receive credit to re-schedule this massage within 30 days. After 48 hours, your fee is forfeited and may not be used toward another date.
Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, appoint will end at scheduled time.
SCHOOL OF MASSAGE
If Downtown Yoga & Healing Arts School of Massage (DTY) cancels your LMT training program, at no fault to you (the student), then you will receive a full refund of any deposit or fees that we have received.
For accounting purposes, a written request is required to receive any refund. An emailed request is preferred. Please email [email protected] to request your refund.
RETREAT CANCELLATION POLICIESCancellation policy: Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Because of agreements with retreat centers, we regrettably cannot refund or transfer any credits for cancellations for any reason. No refunds, credits or transfers if unable to attend or complete retreat. Refunds applicable to a $99 cancellation fee. SEE ALSO BELOW
RETAIL PURCHASESRetail purchases may be returned within 7 days of purchase for an exchange or store credit. All items must be returned with item tags attached (If applicable) and original store receipt.
No refunds for opened or used yoga mats, or accessories.

Drop In Classes Yoga Class Policy
All Class passes have a 3-month expiration unless noted.
You may transfer your remaining classes to a friend or relative, original expiration date applies.
Class packages may be split between two people. i.e. Two people may attend the same class using the same pack of classes.
Attendance for any length of time at a class uses up one class of a pass. i.e. If you leave a class after 5 minutes, it still counts.
Yoga Class Refund PolicyAny refund considered must be requested within 30 days of your date of purchase. No refunds will be considered after 30 days. Only 50% of your remaining balance is available for refund.
Yoga Retreats
Retreat PaymentUpon your booking inquiry, and confirmation of availability via email, a Deposit is required to guarantee your reservation.
Payment links will be available after your booking request, and in your confirmation email. Payment via check is preferred.
Your reservation is not guaranteed until your deposit is received, and your confirmation of deposit email is sent.

Retreat Refund PolicyRetreats are non-refundable but maybe transferred to DTY’s next scheduled retreat not to extend beyond 12 calendar months. Transfer to the next scheduled retreat if there are no conflicts to other refund policies or the retreat. No refunds are offered for retreats within 45 days of the retreat start date.
Retreat Transfer PolicyThere are no transfers within 45 days of a retreat start date.
Travel insurance is suggested to account for emergencies that may require you to cancel your retreat within 45 days of the retreat start date.
You may transfer your payment towards a future retreat within one year of your scheduled retreat if you request a transfer 46 days or more, prior to your scheduled retreat.
Yoga Teacher Training (YTT)
This policy applies to our 200- and 300-Hour programs, Reiki Trainings, and Continuing Education.
Application & DepositUpon Application for the program, and acceptance via email confirmation, a deposit is due & payable.
Payment links are available in your acceptance email.
Your reservation is not guaranteed until your deposit is received, and your confirmation of deposit email is sent.
Balance of Program FeesThe Full balance of YTT program fees are due at the time of check in, or on the start date of the program if you take advantage of the payment in full option or if you choose the by Module path.
YTT Refund PolicyThe Deposit is Non-Refundable – If a student opts to withdraw from the program at any point, the Deposit will not be refunded.
No refunds are offered within 30 days of the YTT program start date.
An emailed request for refund must be received at least 31 days before the start date of the YTT program, sent to [email protected]
Any refunds (not including the deposit) will be issued in the same format that they were received or returned via business check.
If Downtown Yoga & Healing Arts (DTY) cancels your yoga teacher training (YTT) program, at no fault to you (the student), then you will receive a full refund of any deposit or fees that we have received.
YTT Transfer PolicyA student may transfer 90% their Deposit toward a future YTT when emailed notice is received at least 60 days prior to a student’s YTT program start date.
A student may transfer 70% their Deposit toward a future YTT when emailed notice is received between 30 and 60 days prior to a student’s YTT program start date.
A student may only transfer 30% of their Deposit toward a future YTT when emailed notice is received within 30 days of a student’s YTT program start date, AND another deposit WILL BE REQUIRED. Failure to pay another deposit will forfeit all of the original deposit, and no space will be reserved in a future YTT.
In case of a student’s medical emergency, we MUST receive official documentation from a Medical Doctor any time prior to the start of their enrolled program. Full transfer will be issued for use in a future Downtown Yoga & Healing Arts yoga teacher training program.
In case of a student’s medical emergency at any time during their program, the student may continue during an upcoming scheduled program.
Only one transfer is allowed. Once a transfer to a new course date is confirmed, any additional transfers will require a new deposit. The original deposit will be forfeit.
Other YTT PoliciesGraduation Certificates will be presented after successful completion of the program or emailed 14 days after completion of the YTT in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Yoga Alliance, and when all payments have been received.
Note: You will need to register with Yoga Alliance separately, to obtain the designation of Registered Yoga Teacher. Yoga Alliance will require a small fee, and a copy of your Downtown Yoga & Healing Arts Certificate.
